I've made many different spaghetti sauces over the years, and this one is my favorite recipe. It is super quick and easy, and tastes better than many I've made from scratch. I use either the Bertolli 5 Cheese sauce or the Classico 4 Cheese sauce as the base. I modified this from a recipe from my friend Carrie. Thanks Carrie! :)
- 1 lb ground meat
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 ounces shallots
- 1 (24 ounce) jarpremium cheese flavor spaghetti sauce
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can Italian stewed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Brown ground meat with shallots and garlic. Drain.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer for at least 10 minutes.
