I just finished making this sauce! So far it looks really good. My nine year old son enjoyed helping me. Instead of the veggies listed, I used mushrooms. Can't wait to try it!

This sauce was very tasty. I left out the celery and the cinnamon. Celery because I didn't have any and the cinnamon seemed a bit strange to me. In the end, I think half the amount of the balsamic vinegar would have done it. Overall, we enjoyed it and I plan to make it again! Thank you for the great recipe.

I have a recipe for pasta sauce with Italian sausage that I really like ~ Be that as it may, this recipe makes A VERY, VERY TASTY SAUCE! I actually made a batch with the beef & another batch without it, & both are great! The one without was especially good for my son & his wife since they're vegetarians! Howdy from a fellow Texan! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. I must admit that it is very similar to the way I have been making mine for years - with the exception of the addition of cinnamon and parmesan. What delightful enhancements! Oh, and just a *chuckle* way I use to break up the tomatoes is to "SMOOSH" them in my hands. It's fast and fun!!
