"Looking for something to eat during the "big game?!" Here's an idea...and it doesn't have to be just for kids! Feel free to let your imagination go to vary the filling! Prep time includes chilling or freezing time...You probably would want to make these the day before serving. (also makes 1 loaf French bread)"

  1. This was the hit of my daughter's slumber party last week. The kids had a terrific time putting it all together at the beginning of the evening, and we baked the sandwiches after only 1 hour of fridge time. We don't mix meat and cheese for religious reasons, so we just used more meat and lots of pizza sauce. The olives were a great touch.

  2. This was ok. It didnt go over all that well in our home. But it really wasnt bad. Others may really love this recipe. It just was not for us. Thank you for the recipe

  3. This was a great sandwich, I made it using Club rolls and my husband loved them.

  4. These were great but they were not what I expected when I read "calzone". I find these more of a sandwich than a calzone, but hey either way it was great. I made three mini loaves using recipe#4957. We ate one right after making them and i put the other two in the freezer. Last week, I pulled one out for DH and he said they were just as good as the first time. This is a great addition to the OAMC collection!

(As many of you know Silent Cricket passed away on Feb. 29. Since she loved Recipezaar so much and so many on Recipezaar have shown their love for her, and have enjoyed her recipes, her personal information will remain here indefinitely just as she wrote it. Her lines at the end of this section sound somewhat prophetic as the last chapter of her earthly existence has been written.) Well, the time has come for me to change my users' name. After being, "OzCoMartha" because of having lived for three years in Australia and then moving to Colorado, I have decided to "turn over a new leaf." I chose this name because many moons ago I used to be able to "chirp" like a cricket and the "silent" refers to the present time when I'm taking a break...But, perhaps after a season, however long I decide that needs to be, I may be back and then I will fill in more details about myself...
