This was very good. I did add some minced garlic to the onions as I sauteed them. I used bowtie pasta, and sliced portobellas for the mushrooms and also added some pine nuts for a little added crunch. I also added a twist each of red pepper flakes and roasted garlic sea salt to finish. I used a little less pesto and added an equal amount of fat free half and half to make a creamier sauce. We sprinkled romano cheese at the table. So, I deviated from the recipe but the results were excellent!

Great and simple after work dinner. I made some vegan pesto and the entire meal was ready in about a half hour. Boiling the water took the longest!

Delicious. I love pesto, so had to give this a try. I used Catelli Harvest Sun Dried Tomato/Basil spaghettini, red onion and a yellow pepper that I needed to use up. Everything came together very nicely. :)

Really good pasta dish! After reading the other reviews, I did add crumbled sweet Italian turkey sausage and browned it with the onions without the olive oil. Added some minced garlic to the skillet, too. Had tri-color Rotini on hand so used that and it worked fine and also added some color. Spread some of the leftover pesto sauce on garlic toast and served with salad as suggested. Great all around meal!

I recently began to like pesto. So I tried this recipe. And we really loved this. I used 1 small onion. I added hot italian sausages and parmigiano regiano on top. And garnished with a fresh leave of basil. Thanks Mliss. Made for the Babes of ZWT4

This went together so fast and was so good. Just had to go give my neighbor a taste. we devoured the plate of it in no time flat. I added some chopped garlic, one link of Italian sausage out its casing, and sprinkled some pine nuts and parmigianno regiano cheese on top. The kids wanted wacky mac pasta for lunch and so I used that. I'm sure the spaghetti would be more elegant. Putting this in my permanent box. Thank you for such a good lunch. Made for my Babes for ZWT4 Italy.

Very easy to make pasta dish. It also lends itself to additions which I did the second time of making by adding some chopped garlic and some diced smoked chicken. another for my keepers file :)

Tasty pasta dish. I subbed farfalle for the pasta and added kalamata olives and crushed red pepper flakes. For PAC.
