Tisme you are right this is an easy way to make Bolognese. I LOVED it and the ease of which to make it. Products are usually on hand for me so makes it so much easier as well. I followed your directions to a T using a Nero D'Avola (Sicilian wine) of course had to have a wine to drink with dinner so the sauce, DH, and I shared a bottle. I love the flavors. I used the tomatoe paste as opposed to the ketchup. All in all I will make this again as it comes to gether so quickly.n This is a great sauce to have for company as well because it is not the normal pasta sauce and makes the dinner that much more special for friends and family. Served with a romaine salad, crusty garlic bread, and shaved cheese wedges on top.
This was easy to make and we enjoyed the taste. I used tomato paste but it ws still sweet and we liked it that way. Made for Aus/NZ Swap.
We enjoyed this a lot and I will make it again! Didnt watch the expiration date very well on my bacon and it expired so I used a bag of real bacon bits which worked great. I added the garlic, onion, and bacon bits to the ground chuck and browned. Drained the grease from the pan and than added the remainder of the ingredients using tomato paste instead of ketchup. When I added the salt and pepper I thought I added a bit to much salt but after simmering it was perfect but will be careful with the salt next time. A very nice deep rich flavor and not sweet like a store bought jar of spaghetti sauce. This is definitely a treat! Thank you Tisme for posting your quick version of spaghetti bolognese. This is a great bolognese sauce. Easy to do and take less hours than the others I made. DH found it sweet. Maybe it's because of the ketchup. Next time I'll use tomato paste. I didn't use the oil. I used regular tomato soup. Next time I'll try with tomato sauce instead of soup. Thanks Tisme :) Made for Make my recipe tag game
Great and easy mid week meal, made a generous amount too. I folded macaroni through it and everyone was happy.
It turned out to be not a good night to make this one the DH was on a safety course and they provided lunch lasagne and salad which he compared to this recipe but his was full of onion (I had omitted knowing his allergy) but overall he thought a damn sight better than what he got from the professionals). Quick and easy to make, as sauce is simmering the pasta cooks and you plate up. I had parmesan (I'm the only one who likes it) - the rest had grated tasty vintage cheddar and was served with a tossed salad of lettuce greens, juliened carrot, cherry tomatoes (halved), spring onion and some finely diced vintage cheddar.
