  1. In large skillet, brown beef with onions and garlic then drain.
  2. Add tomatoes, water, tomato sauce, parsley, basil, oregano, and salt into hamburger mixture and mix well.
  3. Stir in uncooked pasta.
  4. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  5. Reduce heat, then cover, simmer for 20 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring once.
  6. In a medium size bowl, combine cottage cheese and Parmesan cheese.
  7. If desired, sprinkle in basil and pepper to taste.
  8. Mix cheese mixture.
  9. Drop cheese mixture by rounded tablespoons onto pasta mixture in skillet.
  10. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  11. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella, if desired.

great dish! I used morningstar farms veggie crumbles in place of the ground beef and mrs. dash italian medley spices. Thank you for sharing!

I made this a few weeks ago, just getting around to rating. Thought it was pretty good, kind of reminded me of hamburger helper. It was quick & easy, a good week night meal!
